A brief discussion on the world’s major religions and beliefs –
The greatest creation of the world is man. The driving force of the world is man. All worldly affairs are extremely dependent on man, that is, man-centered. Man has been governing the world through his humanity, religion or humanity’s greatness for ages.
However, even the greatest creation, man, has not made fewer mistakes! Throughout the ages, man has forgotten his own greatness and immersed himself in ignorance and darkness. Whenever man has forgotten his own greatness, some exceptional people have emerged on earth to help people get out of the abyss of ignorance. Who have shown the way to the ignorant and foolish human race with their own knowledge. They have introduced various religions. They have brought the light of divine inspiration, that is, religious scriptures.
Religion
Religion is basically the overall life guidance of man. Throughout the ages, scholars have introduced various laws for the overall purity of man. Religion has guided man through the ages with the message of equality, friendship, harmony, and harmony. Again, over the centuries and millennia, religion has caused the most bloodshed. However, there are also a large number of people in the world who do not follow any religious laws.
Different religions
All religions of the world originated mainly in the Middle East and India. All religions of the world are divided into several parts. For example –
Abrahamic religions.
Indian religions.
Persian religions.
East Asian religions.
And other ancient religions.
Abrahamic religions
Islam religion – Islam is a monotheistic religion where one has to establish oneself in purity through complete surrender to the Creator, that is, a holy and pure person chosen by the Creator. The Quran is the holy book of Islam, which contains the purest teachings on all aspects of life. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is recognized as the founder and last prophet of Islam. Islam is one of the Abrahamic religions. The number of people practicing Islam in the world today is 1.9 billion and the religion is the second largest religion in the world. The number of people practicing Islam is spread all over the world. Islam is at the top of the list of the fastest growing religions in the world.
Christianity – Christianity is one of the monotheistic Abrahamic religions. The religion revolves around the teachings of Jesus Christ. Their religious book is the Bible or New Testament. They believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet and messenger. Followers of Christianity are known as Christians. Christianity has about 2.1 billion followers. This is the largest religion in the world.
Judaism – Judaism is a very ancient religion based on the Old Testament or Torah. It is one of the oldest Abrahamic religions. Moses is the founder of the religion. This religion is also called the Semitic religion. The followers of Judaism number 14 million.
Mandaean religion – Mandaean religion is a very ancient religion. They worship light and darkness. They believe that the soul is immortal and eternal. The religion has about sixty to seventy thousand followers.
Indian religions
Hinduism – With more than 1 billion followers, Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world. This is the largest religious belief and culture in the Indian region. Hinduism is a multi-faceted religion with many traditions and worldly practices. They have many scriptures. Notable ones are – Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Gita, Upanishads and others. Hinduism is considered an ancient religion.
Buddhism – Buddhism is one of the religions of self-realization and attaining the Supreme Being through meditation. Gautama Buddha preached the great teachings of self-realization, which he attained through long periods of meditation under the Bodhi tree, the tree of knowledge, to people from door to door. The religion he preached and introduced is called Buddhism. A significant number of Buddhists live in various countries including China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar.
Shakta Religion – The deities of power are called Shaktas. Shakta religion is the religion of worshiping the Supreme Brahma Goddess, the Mother Power, which is the embodiment of power.
Sikhism – The religion introduced by Guru Nanak Ji is Sikhism. Guru Bhajana and Guru Upasana are the main principles and observances of Sikhism. The practice of Guru Nanakji and other Sikh religious leaders, who adopted the essence of all religions, is known as Sikhism.
Jainism – The religion of walking the spiritual path with the principles of peace and non-violence in all living beings and establishing peace in the world is known as Jainism.
Persian Religions
Zoroastrianism – Zoroastrianism was introduced in ancient Persia by the prominent historical figure and religious scholar Zarathustra. It was the national religion of the Sasanian Empire of ancient Iran.
Baha’i Faith – The religion introduced by Baha’u’llah is the Baha’i Faith. The religion started its journey with the aim of establishing the spiritual unity of mankind. The number of followers of this Iranian religion is 6 million.
Religions of East Asia
Taoism – The ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu preached Taoism. Lao Tzu was a man of complete spiritual consciousness or an extreme naturalist.
Shintoism – The ritualistic religion of Japan is Shintoism. 80 percent of the people of Japan follow Shinto rituals. Spirituality has a strong influence on Shinto religion.
Confucianism – A religion rich in moral and philosophical consciousness is Confucianism. The Chinese philosopher Confucius introduced the religion. It is basically a well-organized way of life of Chinese civilization and Chinese social system.
Other religions
Ancient Egyptian religion – In ancient times, their own religious customs were prevalent in Egypt.
Aryan religion – The Aryans came to India from Persia and created their own religious circle with their own thoughts and beliefs.
Ancient Greek Religion – Various popular religious beliefs, myths, and legends were prevalent in Greece since ancient times.
In addition, various religions have been prevalent in the world over the ages, including Inca religion and Samaritan religion.
Finally, religion is the path and system for the liberation of world humanity. The principles that will awaken the self-power of a person will be his religious philosophy. Therefore, religion should help us achieve humanity without being obsessed with any addiction.
