In the religious world, when a person attains self-identity through Gurmukhi self-realization and attains the position of Mahmuda, then we call him a believer or saint. He becomes fit to manifest divine authority in the world. It is through him that divine mercy is distributed in the world. He is the “Caliph” sent by the Creator.
How can a saint of Allah or saint be recognized? One of the main commentators and interpreters of the Sufi scriptures of the subcontinent, a devoted propagator of Sufism, the greatest Sufi writer, the great Murshid of the Jhaugrah Benaziriya Chishti Darbar Sharif, Hazrat Khwaja Qazi Benazir Haq Chishti Nizami, has described the identity of a saint or saint in one of his Kalams. He said, “He who sees God, lives in the purity of God, hears the word of God, speaks the word of God, he is a believer, a saint.”
In the above-mentioned message, we came to know the four identities of a saint.
- He who sees God
- He who lives in the purity of God
- He who hears the word of God
- He who speaks the word of God
The root of the discussion is very deep. Which is basically the unity of man and God, that is, the manifestation of the eternal flow of God in man and the description of God’s humanity. I will not prolong the discussion in that direction, but will only try to briefly create an evidence structure of the message.
1 – Seeing God
It is not possible to be human without seeing the Lord. Seeing God and becoming adorned with divine qualities from divine self is the name of Islam. The main topic of religion is to know God completely, see and contain God within. This is the main point of all worship. The prerequisite for prayer is seeing God. The Quran itself warns the blind worshipper (Surah Ma’un). A verse has been revealed in the Quran (Surah Bani Israel) to the effect that those who have not seen God will be blind in the Hereafter. Seeing God makes a person divine. He becomes a representative of God. Those who deny seeing God are trapped in the net of a strange and meaningless religious system devoid of reality.
Some evidence regarding seeing God – Whoever remains blind in this world will also be blind in the Hereafter (Surah Bani Israel 72). Allah Almighty says to Moses (peace be upon him), you will see Me if the mountain remains firm in its place. Here it is clearly stated, you will see Me if the mountain remains firm (Surah A’raf 143). More verses – Surah Al-Qiyamah 22, 23, Surah Yunus 26, Surah Kahaf 110, Surah Qaf 35, Surah Mutaffififin 15. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw God – Dar-e-Qutni Hadith No. 286, 287, 227, Tirmidhi Hadith No. 3233, 3234, 3235, Sunan al-Kubra al-Nasa’i Hadith No. 11473, Mujamul Awsat Hadith No. 5761, Muslim Sharif 177, Maktubatus Sa’di
2 – Living in the purity of God
The entire world is the spontaneous manifestation of the purity of God. This entire world is the gradual manifestation of a total evolution with the attributes of the Great Lord of the Worlds. The existence of God is the only existence in the world. All the souls in the world live in that great existence. Due to ignorance, some deny that eternal existence. A believer basically always lives in the purity of God in his conscious mind.
Some evidence regarding living in the purity of God – Surah Baqarah 255, Surah Zariat 20, 21, Surah Zumar 67, Surah Ar-Rahman 26, 27, Surah Hadid 4, Surah Qaf 16, Surah Waqiah 85, Surah Rum 30. It is proven by many other verses that those who do not live in the purity of God will be destroyed, destroyed.
3 – Listening to the Word of God
God has kept the fountain of the Holy Word from the Preserved Tablet flowing continuously for the believers, for the saints. The Lord Himself teaches man His Word (Surah Rahman). A man becomes a believer, a saint by hearing the Word of the Lord from the Lord.
Some evidence regarding listening to the Word of God – The entire Quran is the Word of God, and if you do not listen to it or obey it, you will never be a man. The prerequisite of religion is to listen to, obey, and know the Word of God. Surah Al-Baqarah 2, Surah An’am 155, Surah Al-Imran 138, Surah Zuhr 44, Surah Al-Alaq 1, Surah Muzzammil 20, Surah Bani Israel 78, 82, Surah Anfal 2, Surah A’raf 2, 204, Surah An-Nahl 89, Surah Zumar 18, Surah Jinn 1, 2, Surah Ahqaf 29, 30, Surah Maidah 83, Surah Qaf 37.
4 – Speaking of God
When a person awakens to the infinite glory inherent in his own being and becomes a believer, then he becomes God Himself incarnate. That man’s hand is the hand of the Lord with which he holds, that man’s foot is the foot of the Lord with which he walks, that man’s mouth is the mouth of the Lord with which he speaks (Bukhari). A believer is God’s mercy for the world. The great word of God is always spoken from his mouth. Hearing that word, the darkness of ignorance in the eyes of man is cut off and a fountain of light, i.e. the Siratal Mustaqim, flows. That great man is always immersed in divine love and continues to speak the word of God with his tongue. They are basically the representatives of God in the world. It is through them that this journey is cultivated from age to age.
Some evidence regarding the speaking of God – Surah Al Imran 104, 110, 187, Surah An-Nahl 43, 125, Surah Anbiya 7, Surah Hamim Sajda 33, 34, Surah Yusuf 108, Bukhari Hadith No. 3461, Surah Maidah 19, 67, Surah Balad 17, Surah Tawbah 71, Surah Nisa 165, Surah Ahzab 39. Basically, every verse of the entire Quran speaks of that person who sees God, lives in the purity of God, listens to the word of God, speaks of God. Only in the obedience of that person will religion be practiced. For those who have a relatively weak faith, a few Quranic verses or evidence of Hadith have been presented.
A saint is the highest blessing for the world. Through which God almighty pours the nectar of mercy and knowledge of God into the chest of the holy woman. So the world of religion has been governed by the Oli-Murshids for ages. They are the holders and bearers of religion. At their feet, the warm heart sounds the life-giving melody of Hedayat. May the Lord shelter us under the shadow of His eternal mercy.
