Brother, whatever you do, pray!
Recently, several incidents have shown that extremely bad people are extremely “religious”! This is now a very regular thing in our country. Criminals are building mosques, donating, praying regularly, and making a show of prayer. They are not performing their prayers on the streets, in buses and trains, on the beach, in canals or in the fields. Let’s find the source of this tendency.
The Salafi movement, which started in the late 19th century, started its activities in Bangladesh with great force. Wahhabism and its sibling Salafism spread worldwide mainly due to the politics of Saudi anti-religion petrodollars. As a result of intense propaganda, authoritarianism or Salafism gained a place among a certain group of people in Bangladesh. Because of their extreme ‘puritan’ tendencies and misinterpretation of the scriptures as literal/orthodoxy, they were able to attract the local orthodox Muslims. Contrary to the deep mystery of the scriptures, they started a new frog umbrella type religious law based on letters which is comfortable for the ignorant and stupid. They preached a strange metaphorical theology devoid of allegorical meaning and a bizarre religion devoid of essence. The essence of the religion they preached was –
“Brother, whatever you do, pray”! Whatever you do, build a mosque or madrasa, you will be forgiven! In every prayer you are as pure as a newly born child!
The extreme misinterpretation of religious scriptures, which is being propagated by fanatical Wahhabis, Salafis, non-Madhabis, Jamaatis, Tablighis and all other foolish sects, is mainly due to their un-Islamic propaganda, which has given the criminals a golden opportunity to commit crimes and get pardoned for their crimes. They are also making good use of the opportunity.
Anyway, what I want to say is that the new Ezidi doctrines have been very successful in their conspiracy to destroy religion! They have made religion behavioral! They have made prayer a mere physical exercise, a mere empty exercise! The prayer that turns away from all wrongdoings has been exiled along with a few truth seekers!
Ezid Muawiya Gangra appears before us in every age in new forms/dresses, to destroy our faith. Their only job is to turn religion into meaningless behavior. The work that the Salafis and Puritan Orthodox have done very well. These are the hybrid production of their farm, Abed Ali.
