Husain bin Mansur Hallaj (may Allah be pleased with him)
The most influential Sufi figure in Sufism is Husain bin Mansur Hallaj (may Allah be pleased with him). He is world-famous for his unmistakable pronunciation of the essence “Ana al-Haqq”. A great realization lost in the divine mystery, which led him to the path of the mystery of saying Ana al-Haqq – he became as silent as the horizon and divinely insane. His spirituality, poetry and mysterious personality have established him as the greatest saint of the era. The anger and royal anger of the masses, deprived of religious truth, gave him the cruelest blow in history, his body parts were cut off, his body was hung on a cross and burned, ensuring death, he endured it with a smile. Finally, he was established as the crown of the heads of the ascetics.

I swim in the ocean of love,
Sometimes I rise and fall,
Sometimes I sink –
Love carries me away – to a place
where there is no shore.

There is no longer a wall of logic
between truth and me.
Or evidence in revelation –
Now, in the ever-fading light –
My truth shines brightly.

In search of you, I cross land and water,
Cross deserts, split mountains –
And turn my face from everything.
Until I find you, alone.

Kill me, Bandura,
Because, my life is
in my death.
This is love –
Even then I will remain steadfast
When everything is taken away.
All my qualities.
Then I will receive his qualities.
From between me and you –
Remove me –
So that only you remain.

I am the one I love
The one I love is the one I love.
We are two souls in one body.
If you see me, you see him
If you see him, you see me.
Ainul Qujat Hamadani (may Allah have mercy on him)
Ainul Qujat Hamadani was a Persian mystic, theologian and spiritual Sufi figure. He was a disciple of Imam Al-Ghazali’s brother Ahmad Ghazali. He also enjoyed the company of Imam Ghazali and Omar Khayyam. For his talent, he was called Ainul Qujat or the Pearl of the Judges. Tahmidat, Jubdat al-Haqqarif fi Kashf al-Halq are two famous books on his mysticism or Islamic mystical philosophy. As a publisher of the mysteries of Islamic spirituality, Sufism, he was hated by the Seljuk rulers of the time and was sentenced to death for heresy at the age of 33. Like Mansur Hallaj, he was crucified and burned to death.

I ask Allah for death and martyrdom
Among three easy things –
If the friend (Allah) fulfills my wish –
I ask for fire, oil and straw.

As long as I live,
I will drink the pain of loving you.
All my life, even after death.
And on the Day of Resurrection –
With a storm in my mind and a strong thirst
I will move forward.
3.
How can the one who has painted
a thousand worlds in different colors
paint you and me in its colors?
Color is only imagination and imagination –
He is colorless, this color must be accepted.

Non-existence within existence
My law is in the midst of loss.
Loss is my religion.
5.
Inside the eye
I placed another eye –
Decorated with his beauty.
Suddenly I fell into the four corners of perfection –
From all eyes, from the eyes of thought as well.
Shihab ad-Din Yahya Suhrawardi (may Allah have mercy on him)
Shihab ad-Din Yahya Suhrawardi, of Persian origin, was born in the village of Suhraward in Iran. He came in contact with some famous scholars including Majd ad-Din Jili and Fakhr ud-Din Razi. His life was short. Later he lived in Iraq and Syria and honed his intellectual practice. He added a new branch of Islamic philosophy called Hikmat al-Ishraq and he was also known as Shaykh-i-Ishraq. His book, Enlightenment philosophy, became famous at that time. Due to his promotion of religious mysticism, i.e., Ilm-e-Marifat and Sufism (Batini Ilm), he was condemned to death by the Ayyubid ruler and Kurdish general Malik al-Zahir. He was thrown from the top of a fortress and burned to death.
Sufi Shihab ad-Din Suhrawardy said –
He who knows the philosophy (hikmat) and is steadfast in gratitude and purity towards the luminous Being, will be adorned with royal glory (kharreh) and luminous radiance (farreh) and—as we have said elsewhere—the divine light will cover him with the mantle of royal power and dignity. Then such a person will become the natural ruler of the universe. He will receive help from the highest heaven and all his commands will be obeyed; and his dreams and inspirations will reach their highest, most perfect peak.
